Donor Spotlight
Donors come in all shapes and sizes. Each one is integral in helping UBC Library reach its goal of being a leader in information resources and services.
In 2006/07, alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents of students, foundations, corporations and other Friends of UBC Library donated over $1,000,000 in funds and gifts-in-kind, such as rare books or maps. Thanks to these donations the Library was able to improve its collection and services immensely.

Individuals
Mr. Irving K. Barber
With the leadership and support of Irving K. Barber and the Government of British Columbia, UBC will transform its historic Main Library into a visionary education and research support facility. Made possible through the generosity of Mr. I. K. (Irving) Barber.

Dr. H. Colin Slim
In 1999, UBC alumnus Dr. H. Colin Slim donated his collection of Stravinskiana to the Library, where it will be a valuable research tool for scholars from around the world. Made possible through the generosity of Dr. H. Colin Slim.

Sutherland Foundation
The Peggy Sutherland Site aims to support students, researchers and practitioners in the nursing and allied health professions. Made possible through the generosity of the Sutherland Foundation, which established the Peggy Sutherland Memorial Library Endowment.
